Is Jacksonville, Florida a good place for blacks?

Jacksonville is good for everybody. We have had some severe racism issues in the past. The entire Sherriff’s office used to require Klan membership if I recall the rumors of the 70’s correctly. read more

But they do give good tips and I learned a lot so it makes a good class. Also there isn't any help with housing or cars. I know of one program that helped a family get housing but it was a very long process and they had to do so much for it. read more

Jacksonville is a large commercial and financial center with the most “northern” feel among large cities in Florida. Modern skyscrapers line a well-defined downtown and waterfront area, and the city spreads in all directions and especially south and west from there. read more
