Egyptian mythology never claimed that Horus was born on December 25th, and the birth of Horus was not celebrated on December 25th. This is an example of how deceptive the claims of the so-called “mythicists” can be. The Egyptians originally celebrated the birth of Horus in late July. read more

Best Answer: Actually, many pre-Christian (solar) gods were"born" on or around December 21st, the time of the winter solstice. The Jesus story more closely resembles that of Mithras than of Horus. read more
