Liberia is fractionally wetter (but dry parts of Sierra Leone still average 2.5 meters rain per year). It has a slightly lower population density and quite a lot more forest. On average it's about 150 miles closer to the equator, but both are still well within the tropics (most northerly point of SL only 10 degrees north). read more
