Montreal’s posted temperatures are generally warmer than Alberta’s deep cold, BUT Montreal is far more damp. This makes the cold feel colder. And, with the moist air, comes far more snow than much of Alberta. Of course, this is a generalization—-Alberta is HUGE so it's north is much colder than its south. read more
