The current border between Nepal and India exists as a legacy of British India. The river borders the Nepalese zone of Mahakali and the Indian state of Uttarakhand. The Sugauli Treaty signed by Nepal and British India on 4 March 1816 locates the Kali River as Nepal's western boundary with India. read more

Nepal is in India and India is in Nepal. Both these places share a common border and the aura is same whether you are in India or you are in Nepal. I am from the Indian side, with less than 45 mins away from Nepal border. Never felt it's a separate country. read more
