Whether authoritarianism is socialist or capitalist is a judgment call, but the regime is pretty authoritarian and that monkeys with the socialist/capitalist question. I guess we’d have to say that Nicaragua is kind state capitalist nowadays with socialist ideals and a few socialist policies. read more
