Is Nice, France, really worth it?

I live in Nice and I wouldn't live anywhere else. Nice is a big city. It's clean and smart, with lots of shopping, bars, restaurants and night life. The Promenade des Anglais which runs alongside the beach is 7km long. Don't bother bringing your bucket and spade though because there's no sand, only pebbles. read more

Nice is a little out of the way but we don't mind if it seems like it will be worth the excursion. We would love to spend some time by the ocean! I will look into Cassis. read more

Not really worth it. Having had taken multiple segway tours in Europe and the US, I can confortably say that this one is not up to par. The tour guide meant well- she was a nice young lady, quite shy and had her hands full with others that were on the tour with us (some too active and some barely had the skills needed for the segway). read more
