I took a dip in Ganges at both Haridwar and Rishikesh during Feb/Mar. The water was so clear and you have to hold the rails while taking a dip else someone has to pick you downstream :) it is that intense. read more
All are going on the banks of Ganges for defecation. No guilt. They think it's their privilege. And they have high regard for Mother Ganges! There's no ban on open defecation. Swachch Yug mission is supposed to be making efforts to enlighten public of 5200 odd villages along Ganges, but at the ground level, I don't see any. read more
Pollution from every side of killing the Ganges day by day. The most responsible being the wastes from the factories (especially chemicals) and the people here in India believe that we should not throw away the God related things vaguely into the dustbin. read more
