Is scuba diving in Pattaya good?

I wouldn't say 'good' I have been living in Pattaya for about 12 years (moved here as a kid because of my dad's work) and often you don't hear very good things about the quality of the dives in Pattaya (nor the quality of the instructors). Pattaya tends to live up to its name of 'sleaze city' rather than for its scuba diving/pristine waters. I would be looking further south - Ko Phi Phi, Ko Samui etc for a resort with good scuba diving. read more
