Neither one. Both fought for Communism the way they understood it, and were very result-oriented and effective at it. The difference is Trotsky lost the power struggle and had to find a good explanation for that. read more

I believe this there is no answer. In my country, socialists claim that Stalin corrupted Lenin’s regime — in Latin America, they are all trotskists — thus Stalin was the betrayer of communism, but I don’t think their argument is correct. In reality, Stalin was pragmatic while Trotsky defended ‘constant revolution’. read more
