Is tap water in Australia drinkable?

Answer 1 of 12: I hope this is not offensive, but is there anywhere in Australia where the water is not safe to drink? I know you are a modern country but I am thinking maybe in some of the more remote areas. read more

Unlike the USA & many places in the world use of lead pipes for water transportation was remediated yonks ago (so long ago I can’t remember). Strangely enough, whilst the water supply in Australia is ultra safe, cheap household brass fittings have become a concern because of their high lead content. read more
