A .357 "snub nose" pistol is not a good hunting firearm, and is usually "illegal" for that purpose. A .357 revolver with a 4"-8" barrel does quite well with commercial ammunition out to 50m or so. A single-shot .357 Hunting pistol with a 6"-12" barrel (Thompson Contender) does even better. read more
