Is the Broadway musical Hamilton appropriate for kids?

The flirtations between Hamilton and the two Schuyler sisters will go over most kids' heads aside from being "about being in love", but there are several points where Hamilton's buddies talk about the laaaaaydeeeez that might lead to awkward questions later, and the entire subplot with Mrs. Reynolds is, while not in any way full-frontal-on-stage-nudity, made explicit in the lyrics of the songs as to exactly what is going on there. read more

If it helps Lin (the writer of the show) is always re-tweeting these 6 year old kids singing songs from Hamilton haha. The cast recording says 9 songs are explicit but that's basically saying the word s*** once in the song for most of them. read more
