However Protestants were working away, inside and outside the C of E to move it in a more Protestant direction, even when Henry was still alive. There were still deacons, priests and bishops as in the Roman Catholic Church. read more

It is the same thing, Anglican Church refers to the church of England. The bishop of Canterbury is recognised as the point of unity among the Anglican churches, though he doesn't exercise authority in provinces outside England. read more
