There are active chapters in 41 U.S. states, with between 5,000 and 8,000 active members, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center. The Klan will mostly likely always exist because there will always be people that are white supremacists. The Klan, in it's smaller form, nowadays has ties to white supremacists such as the Skinheads, and the Aryan Nations. The KKK still exists today in fairly large numbers. read more
