I don’t know “what happened to public libraries” - we are still around, and we still provide a multitude of services to our patrons, more than ever before, in fact. Public libraries may or may not be good for university students, depending on the students’ needs. read more
The 6 February is National Libraries Day, instigated in 2012 by campaigners hoping to avoid further library closures, and to celebrate these temples of learning across the country.
