in the female vasectomy, which is called tubal ligation, they tie the fallopian tubes which carry the unfertilised egg from the ovary to the uterus at ovulation, when after unprotected sex, it may become fertilised in the fallopian tube by the sperm from the male. so basically by cutting and tying the fallopian tubes, the egg cannot become fertilised, and you cannot become pregnant. read more
