Is Thomas Edison overrated?

Thanks for A2A. I think previous answers I have given in relation to Thomas Edison make it very plain that my opinion of the man is quite low. Like Henry Ford, he was a businessman first. The short-term $$$ was far more important than the long-term benefit to the consumer. read more

Edison invented hundreds of things we use everyday. most of Tesla's inventions were far more revolutionary, but only a handful are encountered in pure form in our every day lives. Edison invented light bulbs, Tesla invented the generator that powers them. read more
