I'd definitely say Toronto is a second-rate city, and we're pretty insecure about it, but honestly, second-rate isn't so bad. The first class of cities are places like New York, Los Angeles, London, Paris and Tokyo, and those are hard to compete with. read more

A few years ago, the Toronto Star got the old address of every prisoner in Canadian prisons and mapped them. My current neighbourhood had zero. My old neighbourhood, the notorious"Danzig-Galloway" corridor, had all of two.
