In the real world x-ray vision doesn't work as it does in comic books. For example, in one experiment conducted in the 1970s, a researcher held two numerals made of lead between two pieces of zinc tape in front of his closed eye, in a dark room, while an x-ray beam was turned on for 1/2 second. read more
