I've lived in both Kuching and Miri, and most of Sarawak's major town. Kuching have all the criteria that you are looking for but if you want to avoid traffic jams Miri is a better place to live. It is close to Brunei, a ferry hop to Labuan and a few hours ride to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. read more
