Nature destroys to create. Can nature be considered violent?

Nature creates and destroys in one act. It's not violent in an of itself - in the act of a plant seeding it destroys the seed for it to grow, in the act of clouds forming, water accumulates to water the land and create growth, but too much and it can be destructive.
