Both schools are excellent. It would come down to a few things. 1. money - both schools are extremely expensive and financial aid/scholarships should have major weight. 2. location - NYC and LA are major cities with plenty of opportunities. read more

Since NYU is known more for business and finance than USC, I would think that the students there would be a lot more competitive than the students from USC (in terms of economics). Thus, when applying for jobs, it's much better to be top of the class from USC than average student at NYU. read more
