Should student athletes get less homework?

If you are involved in a sport or extracurricular activity, trying to juggle homework and your activities that you partake in can be pretty demanding. Being an athlete myself, I can tell you first hand that it is tough to get homework done when I get home so late in the day. read more

Student athletes deserve the same education as everyone else. Whether or not there should be special considerations (extra time due to a game, school provided tutors for athletes (to condense the material in better time), etc) is an entirely different and more reasonable question. read more

Many teachers rely on students to do homework in order to keep up with their busy and mandatory schedules, and reducing homework would put the students at risk of attaining lower grades.
