Learning karate at an older age might be a little scary to think about. The honest answer is starting karate at age 30 will only be scary to you. There are classes out there actually dedicated to people well into adulthood. No age is too old to learn some lessons from karate and everyone is always encouraged to try their hand at something new. read more
Most Karate dojos I know take kids starting around age 4-6. Most Krav Maga dojos I know won't take anyone under 14-16; some won't take minors at all. My friend's Brazilian Jui-Jitsu dojo only takes kids from age 10, but I'm told that most are willing to start younger than that. read more
