Was Dubai part of Oman?

While I have struggled to find any direct sources on the internet stating Dubai (or other neighboring states) to be ever part of Oman, however from extended research, reading between the lines, and various stories I've heard from a diverse spectrum of people, it seems like Dubai(RAK, etc.) were indeed a part of Oman. read more
