Only if it was paid for by taxpayers. At the time when it was made it was a waste, in my personal opinion. As the years has gone on however, it has definitely paid for itself. Not by any means, but I’ve been to Crazy Horse five or six times over the years. It’s fun to watch the progress and the Visitor Center always has something new and interesting (vs I only went to Rushmore the one time). The real waste would be to visit Rushmore and not drive the extra hour to Custer. read more
