Was there ever Communism in Russia?

There was never complete communism in Russia, however communism was a goal of the Communist Party, the group which controlled Russia until the summer of 1991. Communism can be looked at as an ideology, and in the previous century, there was definitely a strong and tragic influence from communist ideology in Russia. read more

In Russia there is no socialization either of land or of production and distribution. Everything is nationalized; it belongs to the government, exactly as does the post-office in America or the railroad in Germany and other European countries. There is nothing of Communism about it. read more
