Maybe? They were aware of each other and had a history long before their famous disagreement in 1800, but there isn't much evidence that they were ever closer than coworkers or aquaintances, but there were a lot of instances where they worked together. read more

In my readings with regard to their being friends, and everthing I have read about Hamilton would give credence to the fact that they were never friends; Hamilton was a brave Revolutionary War hero at the tender age of 20; he had character and backbone; Burr did not; he was self-serving without regard for the well-being of others. read more
