I'm certain that there were, but honestly there is no reliable evidence that I can find to back it up. This perhaps shows that non white soldiers were pretty uncommon in the ranks of the British army at this point in time. You have to look at it from what was happening. read more

There were also French colonial troops in the pocket, & some may have been evacuated. I’ve heard that some were captured, but others may have got away. Note that the non-white population of the UK was tiny at the time, & the number of non-white soldiers in the British army correspondingly very small. read more
