What animals would be capable of killing a hawk?

I did not witness the following story. It was told to me by a friend. My friend was on the phone talking with his son when he looked out the window and saw a hawk swoop down and grab his Rooster. The hawk hit it so hard it knocked it out. read more

Even a small strike by a small animal, bird, or tree branch can not immediately kill a hawk, but can render it wounded enough that it will bleed out, get infections, or starve. Squirrels and field rats can kill small hawks by getting a critical wound in with a bite. read more
