What are my chances for UIUC bioengineering?

I majored in mechanical engineering at UIUC, and have a few friends who majored in bioengineering. Compared to their profiles, yours is a little weaker, but I still think you have a good chance. Just to give you an idea, one of my friends in bioengineering went to a IB school too. read more

Anyway, my daughter is a junior in high school and interested in majoring in bioengineering. I was wondering if you could sort of "pre-chance" her to see if it would even be worth it for her to apply to this specific major. It appears that UIUC has a 59% acceptance rate, although I am not sure what is their acceptance rate for international students. But, your overall chances are very good. read more
