The Comanche Indians are a group of Native American Indians who call themselves Numinu, meaning "the people". They originally lived in the Great Plains region and it is a little known fact but, they were actually considered to be a branch of the Northern Shoshone Indian tribe. read more
Around 1700, the Comanche made a break with the eastern tribes of the northern Shoshone. After the break up, the tribe migrated south into its primary domain in areas of what is now Oklahoma, New Mexico and Texas.
