great cleaver. the weight is everything. very heavy. good wood handle which is comfortable to hold when chopping. the edge so far has remained sharp and effective. i only use for chicken bones and raw chicken. no idea about anything harder though. read more
Get a good quality but cheap enough knife. I suggest an 8 inch victorinox cooks knife. They do a good job on most things, so you can use it for veg or just about any other task . read more
Also, goat is a stronger tasting meat, no doubt the result of their relative omnivory in comparison to our other meat animals, so it seems to warrant strong-tasting preparations. In the past eight years I've prepared 3 goats cabrito-style, and while the recipe isn't constant, it is fairly consistent, and the most important details are constant, so the inconsistent details I will be vague about. read more
