In a way, lip trills are like controlled yodels or “clams.” These exercises focus on jump-starting the process with harmonic “flips.” For some, using the syllables “O” and “E” help with this exercise. read more
For french horn players, with some practice, it is much better to play whole step trills using only your lips to change the notes. For half step trills, you will have to use the 2nd valve.
