What happened was that the young boy Siproites was wandering through the woods (the detaiks why are unknown) when he accidently stumbled upon Artemis and her handmaidens bathing, Artemis spotted him and because he was young she offered him a choice, to either die for seeing her bathing or become a girl and join her handmaidens. read more
