Cities in this area include Georgetown and Waco, as well as Austin and Wichita Falls. All but one of the six F5 tornadoes in Texas since 1950 have occurred in this area. Harris County, where I live, has had 223 tornadoes since 1950 (over three per year), but no F5, only one F4, only eight F3, and only thirty-two F2. read more
