What are the alternative toys for LEGO?

They're lower quality than LEGO, but still work pretty well. There are other things, too, like Best-Lock, or some knock-off Chinese brands, but these are very low quality. If you're looking for other building toys, but are a different medium than"bricks that snap together", I'd probably take a look at K'Nex, Tinkertoys, Zoob or Erector. read more

My kids love LEGO toys, but we find them expensive. Often, they get all the sets of a series, but keep asking for something similar. We have thus begun buying Mega Bloks and Kre-O, which include some very fancy stuff such as Transformers and CityVille Invasion. read more

If you want a lego alternative that works with Lego bricks, I like the KRE-O brand for several reasons. Yes, there are more expensive alternatives, but the KRE-O set gives that perfect mix of inexpensive blocks with good Toy Lines. read more
