Alrick Brown, the director named the film after one of the official languages of Rwanda. The film’s authenticity, however, is not supported by its uneven acting. The script is based on a story by Ishmael Ntihabose, a Rwandan. The plot uses a broken sequence of events to depict a range of people during the months of the massacre. read more
The documentary examines the repeating pattern of genocide, from the Armenian genocide, to the Holocaust, Cambodia, Bosnia, Rwanda, up to Darfur today. After its theatrical release in the US and Canada, the documentary was screened in the U.S. Congress, British Parliament and European Parliament to raise awareness about genocide education. read more
