Good luck trying to find some small classes, especially for a freshman (most of them will be large lectures with a small discussion section). It really depends on what classes you are interested in. The Writing 39 seminar series classes can get extremely interesting especially if you like the subject. read more

UCSB, fairly or not, has probably earned the reputation for being the best party school. UCLA and UC Berkeley have lively campus cultures, big-time sports, and active Greek life. UC Irvine and UC Riverside have more commuter students and the on-campus environments are not quite as lively. read more
