Death will occur if not corrected. If many birds of different ages are housed together and there is lack of proper hygiene, coccidiosis is a killer. As a kid raising budgies, my females would sometimes get egg-bound and die. No vet was able to explain to me why, other than say that it's common in birds that are inactive. read more
