In the 80s and 90s, it was still relatively safe to swim in lakes and rivers. But more people swim in rivers than in lakes as there are far more cities along rivers than around lakes. Now as I observe fewer and fewer would go swimming in rivers not to mention lakes, I guess, for issues of water pollution. read more
