Tae kwon do is all about kicking really. Many martial artists used to combine boxing punches and taekwondo kicking. Jiu jitsu is more about lock and holds and twists etc. There is the normal standing one then the Brazilian type, mainly ground work and chokes. Aikido also has many locks and holds.
