The better neighborhoods find themselves often on outer suburbs of Grenoble. St Ismier, Montbonnot, Corenc le Haut, La Tronche and Meylan are amongst these more “chic” areas. Within Grenoble itself, the areas near the préfecture, near the center of town (place Victor Hugo), on the slopes of the Bastille, are the better areas (in my opinion). read more
