Been living in Rome for 8 years. If by bad you mean places where you should be concerned about your safety, I can fairly say there is hardly such a place in Rome. read more

Good ones are historical center, Prati, Parioli, Monteverde, the northern areas like Ponte Milvio, Monte Mario, Eur. Bad ones are considered Tor Bella Monaca, Tor Pignattara, San Basilio, generally the"periferia", parts far from the center. read more

Bear in mind that Via Cavour stretches all the way from Termini to the Colleseum/ Forum area. We just returned from our Italy trip and spent the last 3 nights in an apartment in Rome (wish it had been a week). We stayed on Leonina St, about a block from the Metro and loved the neighborhood. read more
