Kathryn Albertson park, opposite one of the largest parks in Boise - Ann Morrison park. Albertson park is a protected nesting ground in the spring, but lovely all year round, even winter. It is a favorite picnic spot, with several smaller or secluded areas. Not best for lively families, more for the quiet contemplation types. read more

I think that my most favorite place to go in Boise is near the Texico on Capitol right behind a dance studio (name eludes me at the moment). It's a gargoyle water fountain with enough room to have a late lunch. I think that I'm about the only person that goes there anymore. It really is a tranquil place to chill.
