What are the must-read classic books of great literature?

Dostoevsky is a master of the dark, psychological novel and his works are a must-read for anybody interested in classic Russian literature as well as novels that look into human nature and the psyche, while dealing with questions of morality, justice, religion, society, crime and oddly, enough, love. read more

For me, classic books need to be readable because I'm not studying literature at university these days. There are many important books published decades or even centuries ago that have great significance but I'm not going to recommend them for your reading enjoyment. read more
