What are the pros and cons to living in Madison, WI?

I've lived in Madison since 2003 with the exception of one year I lived in San Mateo, CA. Pros: Fairly inexpensive to live, especially if you're from the bay area; Lots of great food. Great restaurants and great cheese; Great tech community. read more

Other cons might be winter weather, be careful and never leave your place when its bad out cause people drive like wack jobs in Milwaukee. You may want to transfer to Madison if your grades are good. Madison is a nicer city. read more
