If you are going to look at one of those, bring an expert with you. It might not be possible to fix some of these problems and if you are going to need an expert to help you repair a bad harpsichord, you will be spending the same kind of money needed to get a good one. read more

Anything that you can play on a piano you'll be able to play on the harpsichord sans the dynamics, of course. So the Bach fugues that you play on the piano will translate well to the harpsichord. I find it a little easier to play the harpsichord, but I also feel that the lack of dynamics makes the instrument a little less forgiving. read more
