In the US, anyway, there are no Calvinists at funerals. If and when a minster tells the mourners, “Well, keeping in mind that we are all sinners in the hands of an angry God*, so chances are pretty good that Grandma is now burning in hell,” then maybe Calvinists will be taken more seriously. read more
Thirdly, and in line with my second reason, the “sincere offer objection” is an objection against the internal consistency of Calvinism. If you want to defuse it, then, you need to have a solution that stands up when Calvinism is consistently applied to it. read more
